The project funded by Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) aims to mobilize private sector organizations to invest in and support the implementation of the Government of Kenya, Agriculture Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy (ASTGS). The project is expected to enhance:
- Agriculture as a business and enable ASNET to facilitate public private dialogues (PPDs) that mobilize domestic and foreign private sector investment in the agriculture sector using agriculture as a driver of economic growth.
- Enterprise development of commodity value chains for crop, livestock, and fisheries subsectors especially around input supply, production, storage, processing/utilization, marketing and consumption.
A Country Agribusiness Partnership Framework (CAP-F) is a tool to support a country’s Agribusiness Partnerships and investments. It fosters effective coordination between the private sector, Government, farmers and other non-State actors in establishing amicable agribusiness partnerships and investments. It generates a roster of cross-sector commitments for investment, partnerships and commitments.
